"Texting and Multi-modal Texts"

The important things I learned from the video are texting is not writing, texting is fingered speech, and texting causes people to be bi-dialectal. But the most important thing I learned is texting is like a new language being formed that changes as time goes on.

One way that I could use this in my classroom, is giving the students a chance to summarize any part of a literature circle. For example if the students were reading the novel Holes in class, and were given the assignment to summarize how Stanley felt about going away to camp, they could use blabberize to present how he felt using their voice and his photo to the class.
